Meet Your Inspector
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tim McGraw (not the country singer). I grew up in Southeast Texas and am 100% TEXAN through and through. I believe in doing things right the first time and take pride in my work as a home inspector. I live in Sour Lake with the greatest family in the world—my wife, son (Weston), daughter (Aniyah), and we have recently welcomed our first grandson (Josias) from our other daughter (Bethany), who is married to a great young man, Eduardo. We have been happily married for almost 26 years and are more in love now than when we first met. We believe in strong family ties and a hard work ethic that always produces the most premier results.
My business background started with another business owner, Mr. Tom Harken Sr., the owner of 14 restaurants (Casa Olé and Crazy Jose’s). For seven years he taught me the importance of working hard and how to have excellent business practices. While working for Mr. Harken, I met my wife. Her parents were missionaries to Bolivia, South America. After a time of getting to know one another and then being married, we moved to Bolivia as missionaries to join her dad and mom.
Upon our return after a year of service, Mr. Harken’s son, Tommy Jr., hired me to run his new storage facility (Storage Depot). We started with an empty 40,000 square foot building and within a year’s time almost doubled the size of the building to 70,000 square feet. After 17 years of managing and seeing great success, the Harkens sold the company. I remained with the company for one more year, and then my wife and I bought a house in Sour Lake in 2019. We had been pastoring a Spanish congregation in Beaumont at that time for 18 years, and have been working in full-time ministry since that time.
While working at Storage Depot, I had the privilege of meeting several prominent real estate agents who introduced me to the home inspection industry. I studied it out, and my wife and I decided that this would be the final career to allow us to move into retirement when that time comes.
My hobbies include spending time with family, studying God’s word, reading, and playing golf.
Now you know just a little about me—I would love to know more about you. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you in making a solid decision in the purchase of your new home. It is our promise to give you the best, most detailed home inspection possible. We live by honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, and Texas Pride in everything we do.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a house, from the roof to the foundation. Home inspections are designed to protect the buyer, by revealing problems they might not have noticed otherwise.
How much does a home inspection cost?
Our home inspections start at $375. The cost will vary based on the square footage of the home, the age of the home, and location of the home. Call, text, or email us for a quote today!
How long does a home inspection take?
Home inspections generally take 2 to 4 hours to complete. The duration of a home inspection depends on many factors such as the size of the home, the condition of the home, and the ability to access certain areas of the home (roof, crawl space, attic, etc.).
Should I attend the inspection?
Although it is not necessary, we do recommend that you attend the inspection so you can ask questions and learn more about the home. You will learn a lot from the inspection report, but we always encourage you to attend!
What if the inspection report reveals problems?
It is important to note that no house is perfect. At the end of the home inspection process, we will provide a detailed report that describes the physical condition of the property, with images and videos highlighting what may need repair or replacement. The information provided is to allow a potential buyer to make an informed decision about moving forward with the transaction. It is not pass or fail.
